Full Service Billing in the Netherlands

Henk Sariman and his partner Mirjam have been involved with Anytime Fitness since 2014. Mirjam opened a club in Axel – Netherlands and in May 2016 during the annual Anytime Fitness Benelux conference Henk made the decision to open his own franchise in May 2017 in Stekene, Belgium. He also opened a second Anytime Fitness franchise in June 2018 in Sint Gillis Waas, Belgium.

As the UK’s leading supplier of revenue management services to the Health and Fitness market, Harlands already provided Anytime Fitness with a simple Direct Debit management solution. An experienced businessman, Henk was delighted when Harlands began to deliver their full-service to Europe.

“It is crucial to us that our members pay on time, every time,” says Henk

“The main functions for our clubs is ensuring the revenue is coming in but there is a lot of administration involved in doing this. The process for this needs to be disciplined and it is important that our members understand this.”

The Harlands full-service model not only collects the monthly payments for membership, it also offers a robust and proven process for ensuring the successful collection of defaulted payments and arrears.

Club staff can refer members with any queries directly to Harlands and members can telephone in to the Dutch-speaking service centre to resolve payments and queries. This allows club staff to focus on the customer service improving the member experience.

During 2019, Harlands will also introduce online payments and account management via Payflex.

“We’ve definitely seen a reduction in administration and more members are paying arrears,” Henk continues

Harlands will be launching its online account management platform Payflex to Europe in 2019.
